account strategist

Some Great People is a creative marketing agency headquartered in Minneapolis. The Account Strategist is responsible for the strategy and execution of client marketing efforts. You should be a competent professional, able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas that you put into action. As an Account Strategist, you are also responsible for maintaining great client relationships. You will be leading strategy and execution for 1-3 of Some Great People’s retainer clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead strategy and creative for clients

  • Execute and project manage strategy and creative to ensure the timely and successful delivery of your marketing solutions to clients

  • Be the primary point of contact for clients through email, phone, online presentations, and in-person meetings to build long-term relationships

  • Create campaigns that integrate our agencies services including, marketing, social media, influencer relations, activations (virtual and in-person events), and content production

  • Forecast and research of marketing and social media trends to be up to date in our industry

  • Ability to set and report KPIs and communicate clearly the results and analytics of our services to clients

  • Excellent time and project management skills

  • Out of the box thinking that brings our unique differentiators to our clients including making authentic connections on behalf of clients and using our extensive network of some great people

  • Self-motivated to seek professional development by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional events, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, social media strategy & execution, influencer relations, account management, and project management Candidates will not be considered without a minimum of 2 years of full-time working experience

  • Proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint (Google Sheets & Slides)

  • Extremely strong written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with clients

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with little hand-holding

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Natural relationship builder with a personal network

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience in a management role

  • Photo and video skills

  • Squarespace or other website building platforms

  • Proficient in Canva or other software with a keen eye for design

  • Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager

Pay Range: $40,000 - $56,000

Some Great People is a creative marketing agency headquartered in Minneapolis. The Social Media Strategist is responsible for the strategy and execution of client social media channels. You should be an expert in social media and generate strategic ideas that you put into action. As a Social Media Strategist, you are also responsible for maintaining great client relationships. You will be leading strategy and execution for 5 - 8 of Some Great People’s social media clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead social media strategy and creative for clients by creating detailed social media marketing plans

  • Develop and manage editorial calendars for social media content on platforms including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok

  • Create and execute daily engagement social media strategies including copywriting, posting and tracking posts across various social media platforms, social listening, follower pushes, engaging with influencers etc.

  • Write compelling, engaging and fresh social media content to develop exceptional content that drives engagement on social platforms

  • Manage influencer relationships

  • Monitor and engage social media platforms daily

  • Content making skills, for example, photo, video, and social asset development

  • Facilitate social media live events

  • Identify and execute community management, inclusive of crisis response, social monitoring, proactive engagement identification, and social listening reporting

  • Understand best practices for paid social and can manage paid campaigns

  • Present social reports to clients with conviction and be able to prove ROI on the strategy or pitch recommendations to prove the strategy

  • Be the primary point of contact for clients through email, phone, online presentations, and in-person meetings to build long-term relationships

  • Create agendas and lead monthly client meetings

  • Be up to date on social media trends

  • Out of the box thinking that brings our unique differentiators to our clients including making authentic connections on behalf of clients and using our extensive network of some great people

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in social media strategy & execution and influencer relations

  • Deep understanding of all social platforms including best practices for content development and distribution in platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest

  • Proficient in Canva or other software with a keen eye for design

  • Experience using a social media scheduling software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint (Google Sheets & Slides)

  • Extremely strong written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with clients

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts at a time while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with little hand-holding

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Natural relationship builder with a personal network
